Bhrigu Lake Trek is one of the scenic high-altitude trek in Himalaya. Enroute, you will see waterfalls and a number of lakes. Close enough to habitation, yet in a secluded, lush green dale, the Bhrigu Lake is at an altitude of 14,000 Ft. It lies east of the Rohtang Pass. • The Scenic Bhrigu lake has significant historical and religious implications. It is named after Maharishi Bhrigu. Legend has it that the sage used to meditate near the lake and hence it has been rendered sacred; the locals believe that due to this the lake never freezes completely. • The locals also believe that many Gods of the Kullu valley have dipped in the holy waters of the lake making it sacred for the devotees.
